| Ninth annual Run From The Sun® 5K Run/Walk set for April 7 in downtown Jackson, Miss. |
 The Leonard E. Warren Melanoma Foundation will conduct its 9th annual fund-raising event in downtown Jackson, Mississippi, on April 7, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.
The event, a 5K run/walk and a one-mile fun run (click here for an entry form), will be supervised and timed by the Mississippi Race Timing. It will begin on Congress Street in front of The Clarion-Ledger and will wind through downtown streets and back to The Clarion-Ledger. T-shirts and Melanoma prevention tips will be provided to race entrants. A free melanoma skin cancer screening will be conducted before and after the race by area doctors, and door prizes will be given away, including an Apple iPod. All profits from this event will be used to fund Melanoma awareness efforts and to help medical researchers search for a cure. If you would like to be a race volunteer, please email Keith Warren. |
